GO BACK
Taking my own picture during a very bumpy flight (circa 1999.)
I fly a Cessna 172 and 182. I also fly a Mooney 201J and Piper Archers, Warriors, and Arrows. I currently own with two partners a Beech Sierra.
Flying Bio
I've wanted to fly since I was a kid. The idea always seemed a fantasy until my wife, as birthday present, booked and paid for my first flying lesson. That was 1991 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. All those years with a flight simulator paid off. I became quickly addicted and remain so to this day. With an instrument rating and over 600 hours behind me I only wish I had the time and money to fly more. I dream of flying to the Caribbean, over the Rockies, but for now I settle for Maine, the Cape, and points south.
Personal Bio
I began as Editor and later Director of Sesame Street. That's where I spent most of the 70s. The 80s started with an extended trip to China with Big Bird, and soon I was Producer/Writer/Director of 3-2-1 Contact. That science series took me around the world. Big time fun. In 1991 I quit CTW (the folks who produce Sesame and Contact) and foolishly started my own TV and multimedia production company. The money is so-so, but I can fly weekdays!
