"Bella's Cafe" was our entry into the subject of Political Science. McDugal-Littell wanted to develop a new approach to compete with the high school traditional texts. Terra developed the video component to the new text package - "Bella's Cafe."

The series of short episodes were loosely patterned after a "Cheers" type environment, minus the alcohol. "Bella's Cafe" was a truly wired cafe where people, young and old, could meet to chat mostly about politics, since that was Bella's favorite topic. The monitors were constantly tuned to C-SPAN, and the customers plugged into the internet. The conversations were fast and upbeat and always based on real events taken from the lives of the staple of characters.

"Bella's Cafe" never went beyond the pilot stage for reasons beyond our control. We still like it and, if you care to fund it, we can supply you with completed videos and a CD-ROM to whet your appetite.
